As an interior designer, she encourages design to draw on historic applications and preservation as well as adaptive use and sustainability. Alison is currently the Executive Director of the Fondren Renaissance Foundation, www.fondren.org, bringing her design and planning experience to an urban environment.

Ann Daniel
Ann Daniel, AKBD has over twenty years experience in design and drafting. She has her own business, Ann Daniel Design, which specializes in kitchen and bath design as well as space planning and interior design. She is a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association with the Associate Kitchen and Bath Designer designation. Ann is a graduate of Mississippi College with a B.A. in Art, and also holds an A.A.S. from Hinds Community College in Drafting.
Through Millsaps College, Ann has created and teaches continuing education classes in kitchen and bath design and feng shui. She has also been an adjunct professor of Art at Mississippi College for several years. Accepted into the Mississippi Craftsmen’s Guild in 2003, Ann is an exhibiting member of the Guild in the medium of handmade paper.
Presently, Ann is working with a client to renovate an old grocery store into a wellness complex. This project is especially meaningful because it is taking a building that has not been used for several years and repurposing it into a fresh, new space that will serve our community is a multitude of ways. My goal as a designer is to be aware of the impact of design and how it affects not only the present, but the future as well.
